We are finally getting married!
As we reflected on the past few years as a couple we realized that we have taken some pretty crazy trips going to Mumford & Sons concerts. So, in honor of the memories we have themed our wedding around these adventures.
Every concert we have been to has given us a unique story to share. In Canandaigua, we saw Mumford & Sons live for the first time. In Los Angeles, we pretended to be jetsetters by upgrading our flight to first class, staying at a trendy hotel on Hollywood Blvd., and renting a BMW. In February 2013, we drove six hours to New York City after a full day's work to see them perform at the Barclay's Center. After the concert, we drove home through the night so that we could be back in time for work the next morning. This was so much fun, that we did it again five days later when they played in Philadelphia.
The Simcoe Stopover nearly left us stranded in the middle of Canada with no gas, no GPS, and no cellular service. Luckily, Matt's keen sense of direction led us to the venue just in time to get the ABSOLUTE BEST parking spot in the entire campground. In Queens, we watched Mumford & Sons perform at Forrest Hills Tennis Stadium (the former site for the US Open Tennis Tournament) with Joanna and Aunt Dawn. The St. Augustine Stopover in September 2013 is where we discovered Mary’s famous eggs benedict, Hyppo Pops, and that “Maria, come out here, I have something to show you,” isn’t always the beginning of a marriage proposal! Most recently Natasha, Jae, Mary Kay, and Mike joined us for a road trip to Seaside Heights, New Jersey to experience their first Gentlemen of the Road Stopover.
We are excited to add to these memories on our wedding day and hope that you will join us for a weekend inspired by these concerts. We encourage everyone to explore our new hometown, soak up life at the lake, and enjoy the music.
We hope you join us for our big day!
Sincerely,
Maria & Matt
